1. Limited Warranty Coverage
Salty Dog Marine LLC stands behind the quality of our services. We offer a limited warranty on specific services and workmanship for 30 days from the date of completion. This warranty covers:
• Defects in workmanship related to hull cleaning, detailing, bottom painting, and general marine maintenance.
• Installation of customer-supplied or Salty Dog Marine LLC-provided parts, ensuring they are installed correctly and function as intended at the time of service.
• Bottom painting adhesion for six (6) months, provided that the hull was properly prepared and there were no underlying adhesion issues from previous coatings.
2. Exclusions & Limitations
This warranty does not cover the following:
• Normal wear and tear, misuse, improper maintenance, or neglect.
• Environmental factors (e.g., weather, marine growth, electrolysis, or water contamination).
• Pre-existing vessel conditions, including rust, corrosion, structural damage, or faulty components.
• Customer-supplied parts – these are installed at the owner's risk with no warranty on part failure.
• Third-party interference – work performed by other individuals or companies that affect our workmanship.
• Zinc replacements, coatings, or other consumables affected by external factors.
• Damage due to improper vessel operation or handling by the owner or crew.
• Hull painting failures caused by previous coatings or lack of hull maintenance.
3. Customer-Supplied Parts Waiver
Salty Dog Marine LLC does not provide a warranty for parts and materials not supplied by our company. Any customer-supplied parts are installed at the owner's risk. If a customer-supplied part fails or is defective, we are not responsible for labor costs associated with its removal, replacement, or any resulting damages.
4. Warranty Claim Process
If you experience an issue covered under this warranty:
1. Notify us immediately at saltydogdiveservices@gmail.com with a description of the issue and supporting photos (if applicable).
2. We will inspect and assess the issue within a reasonable timeframe.
3. If the claim is valid, we will repair or re-perform the service at no additional cost.
4. If the issue is not covered under this warranty, we will provide recommendations for corrective action at the customer’s expense.
5. Disclaimer of Liability
Salty Dog Marine LLC is not responsible for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:
• Downtime or lost revenue
• Towing or salvage costs
• Additional repairs beyond our original scope of work.
6. Warranty Modifications
This warranty policy may be updated periodically. Customers will be notified of any significant changes.
